Every day of the school year, we entrust our children’s safety to and from their school to the sharp eyes and ears of the town’s crossing guards. They greet kids and parents with a friendly good morning, and have smiles for all passersby. I’ve had the same wonderful crossing guard at my corner bus stop for six years, and only know him as “Joe.” We talk about kids, politics, and the weather, of course.
Next Thursday, Montclair will proclaim thanks and appreciation to the town’s 2009/2010 team in a morning ceremony. The full story, and how you can show your appreciation, on Barista Kids.
