Need a good excuse to eat a chocolate cupcake? The Stuffed Cupcake Place in Nutley has partnered with comedian and TBS late night host George Lopez’s Lopez Foundation to help raise awareness surrounding kidney disease and organ donation. Run over today (10/20) and for every cupcake purchased (at the store, 231 Franklin Ave., or online through www.StuffedCupcakes.com), $1 of the proceeds will be donated to The Lopez Foundation for kidney disease and organ donation research and education. The Stuffed Cupcake Place recently had their cupcakes featured at the EMMY Awards and made 15,000 of them for the 10th anniversary celebration of O, the Oprah Magazine in May. Oh, and the Real Housewives of New Jersey like them, too.

And after I buy cupcakes for a Kidney Foundation I’ll have to support a Heart Foundation to help pay the bills of my clogged arteries. Those are some damn good cupcakes.

They are good cupcakes…but I think they use Betty Crocker.
