This weekend’s thaw is getting an indoor assist from a pair of Englishmen: Three short films featuring the warm-hearted animated duo Wallace and Gromit are being screened on Sunday, February 13 at the Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts.

The Celluloid Candy Wallace and Gromit Family Festival, a Studio B film series for families, will present a trio of stop-motion shorts starring the inventive Wallace and his patient dog Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death (2008), A Close Shave (1995), and The Wrong Trousers (1993). The films all feature the pair’s patented mix of physical comedy, wacky inventions and sly pop-culture parody.
