In the wake of Japan’s heartbreaking earthquakes, tsunami and nuclear plant crisis, we are reminded of the suffering of the people of Haiti not so long ago.

One local preschool, Park Street Academy, is remembering Haiti’s 2010 catastrophic earthquake. They’re not only raising awareness, they’re also raising funds.

See the photo above, which is part of The Future of Haiti celebration. PSA has partnered with the EISA school in Leogane, Haiti, to raise money for a new playground there. On Friday, PSA students and parents will converge for a slideshow and children’s performance for EISA. If you’re interested in donating to this project, email PSA.

I would suggest that before there is any attempt to take over the Shell station property, it be fully vetted by every environmental agency possible; gas station clean ups are lengthy and very expensive - even I Shell would be liable for costs.
