There’s another snow storm coming (wispy snow already falling) but there’s still time to catch a movie. Here’s the schedule for Montclair area. How many of the new holiday 2012 movies have you seen? Give us your reviews.

Loved Lincoln and really looking forward to seeing Les Mis and Django Unchained. Parental Guidance looks cute too.

Watched Samuel Fuller’s amazing ‘Forty Guns,” which I’d recorded off TCM last week, on Saturday night. So much better than most anything recently released that I’ve seen (though “Jack Reacher” is a nice surprise) in theaters lately. And Barbara Stanwyck is great in just about anything she made, she has more sexiness in one tight-legged stride than Kristen Stewart surely will summon up in her entire career.

Sadly, however, one Adam Sandler or Judd Apatow movie probably costs more than Sam Fuller’s entire output (and that’s only a slight exaggeration). The ending of ‘Forty Guns”is so realistically brutal, it makes me wonder why more of today’s younger directors don’t just seriously study Fuller’s films to learn what they should have done.

Congratulations to the cast and crew for a job so very well done. Beyond the obvious talent, the students' dedication and professionalism was evident throughout. Bravo!
