Overnight Little Falls Standoff, Murder Arrests (UPDATE)

UPDATE: Jonathan LaFontaine, 20, of Totowa, has been charged with the stabbing death of Brian Topoleski, a 2013 graduate of Cedar Grove High School.

In the overnight hours, police in nearby Little Falls were reportedly engaged in a standoff outside a home on Jacobus Avenue.

According to CBS, a man was found fatally stabbed inside the home, and police were seen leading another man away at about 3:00 a.m. in what is now a homicide investigation.

ABC is reporting that the SWAT team was on the scene, along with negotiators who talked with the suspect(s), barricaded inside the home. Three men were eventually arrested. Jacobus runs off of Long Hill Road in the Great Notch section of town.
