debate 2Did you miss last night’s debate? It was the first to feature all four New Jersey democratic candidates for U.S. Senate: Newark Mayor Cory Booker, Rep. Rush Holt, Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver and Rep. Frank Pallone.

The winner of the Aug. 13 Democratic primary, to fill the seat made vacant by the death of Sen. Frank Lautenberg last June, will face Republicans Alieta Eck or Steve Lonegan in an Oct. 16 special general election.

Luckily for you, it was filmed by NJTV from Montclair State University’s DuMont Television Center. Watch it here.

What do you think…who won the debate, and also which candidate, Dem or Rep, should fill Lautenberg’s shoes?

Interesting article in the NY Times about Booker’s tech connections and the money that flows. This arrangement makes me very uncomfortable.

Montclair is relatively heterogenous and, it could fairly be said, takes pride in its diversity. Has Montclair named a street or school after Dr. King? Why is that?
