U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) announced this week the appointment of Paul Brubaker as his State Director. Brubaker has been working as press secretary to Senator Menendez since November after serving as Communications Director for the Senator’s re-election campaign.
“Following his leadership role on my re-election campaign, Paul quickly became an integral part of my official office and has demonstrated the ability to lead the staff in serving the needs of New Jersayans across the state,” said Senator Menendez. “Paul is known to many in New Jersey through his work in journalism, government and politics and I know he will be successful in his new role on our team in New Jersey.”
“Senator Menendez has taken on greater responsibilities in Washington, including chairing the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, but he never stops fighting for the people of New Jersey,” said Brubaker. “I am extremely grateful for the confidence Senator Menendez has placed in me during this critical time, and very excited to begin working as his State Director.”
Previously, Brubaker worked as Communications Director for U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ). Prior to working in government and politics, Brubaker was a reporter for a number of New Jersey newspapers, including The Star-Ledger, The Herald News and The Montclair Times. He is a resident of Montclair. He and his wife, Lynette, have three children.
