Popular weekend hours at the Montclair Public Library will continue in 2016 thanks to the Montclair community! The money raised during the Montclair Public Library Foundation’s 2015 “Love Your Library” Annual Appeal campaign will fund these important hours. The Main Library will remain open from 1 pm – 6 pm on Sundays and the Bellevue Avenue Library will remain open on Saturdays from 2 pm – 6 pm.
“We know from past experience that weekend hours are extremely popular for families. In 2015 a total of 40,000 people visited the library on Sundays. Our library serves as a technological hub and a community center, as well as an excellent resource for students and the community as a whole,” stated David Hinkley, Library Director.
Alison Bauer, Chair of the MPL Foundation, agrees. “Weekend hours are an important public service. The Foundation is thrilled to be able to support this essential community need.”
MPL always needs your donations to continue to offer the incredible resources to the community. Donations to the Library may be made by check to the Montclair Public Library Foundation, 50 South Fullerton Avenue, Montclair, or online at the Foundation website, montclairplf.org
