Montclair Women’s Club To Host Open House and Free Workshop, 9/27

The Montclair Women’s Club is preparing for an exciting year of events in its 103rd year serving the Montclair area.

On Wednesday September 27th, the Club will be hosting an Open House at 7 p.m., followed by a workshop, led by Beth Taylor Hart at 7:30 on “Women in Transition: Accessing Your Innate Wisdom.” The open house, held at the 82 Union Street clubhouse, offers an opportunity for community members to learn about joining the Montclair Women’s Club.

Founder of The Insight Project, Ms. Hart will explore how to tap inner reliance to find clarity, peace, resilience, and joy through wisdom latent within. In addition to leading workshop for various individuals and community groups, Hart has authored the upcoming book Hidden In Plain Sight: The Truth About Your Life. Ms. Hart has also enjoyed a vibrant career in the arts and arts management, including being one of the founders of the Montclair Film Festival, now in its 6th year.

The topic of “Women in Transition,” has resonated with many Club members as many have transitioned into or out of careers, transitioned in their family/spousal relationships, or transitioned to becoming an empty nester (or near empty nester) in addition to other life transitions. The Montclair Women’s Club has become an important source of community, enrichment, support and nourishment to this generation of women as it has to those who have gone before us.

The Montclair Women’s Club offers programs free to members every other Friday afternoon as well as monthly evening and weekend programs. Its mission is to engage actively in the community with a focus on educational, artistic, environmental, and charitable endeavors while also preserving our historic institution.

The Montclair Women’s Club avoided closure in 2015 with the dedication of several longtime Montclair Women’s Club members joined by a number of new members who shared a dedication to saving and revitalizing both the historic building and civic organization. The club’s facilities have been newly renovated and are available for public rental. For a full list of programs, to become a member, or for more information about the Women’s Club, go to
