Gas Lamp Teens will present Legally Blonde: The Musical with four performances November 17-19, 2017. Gas Lamp Juniors will usher in the holiday season with a production of Elf Jr. with four performances December 1-3, 2017.

“Our aim is for experienced and novice performers alike to get their chance to shine,” says Kristy Graves, Gas Lamp Artistic Director. “Our younger performers will tell heartwarming stories and portray memorable characters, with 12 weeks of rehearsals culminating in live shows with production-value costumes, props and sets.”

In Legally Blonde The Musical, forty-five teens, grades 7-12, will sing and dance the roles of fun and determined Elle Woods and her Harvard law school cohorts. Kristy Graves is director.

In Elf Jr. The Musical, more than 90 local students, grades 1-7, will take the stage as Buddy journeys to the North Pole and New York City and finds his true identity. Guest co-directors are Heather Ballantyne and Erin Dilly.

All performances will be held at Ridgewood Avenue School in Glen Ridge, New Jersey.  Tickets are $10-$12.00/adults and $5-$8.00/children/students/seniors and are available at https://gas-lamp-players.ticketleap.com.

“This is an incredible period of growth for Gas Lamp actors, creative teams and audiences,” says Rennae Pelayo, Executive Producer of both shows. “We’re so pleased to offer a range of programming for local families this fall.”

Gas Lamp Players is a non-profit community theatre whose mission is to cultivate creativity, confidence, compassion and community through the performing arts. For more information, visit http://gaslampplayers.org.
