bobbyBobby Schlaefer gets a radiant look in his eyes when he talks about Montclair and the South End. An animated guy to begin with — gregarious, gesticulating — he fairly lights up when he’s on one of his favorite subjects.

With a cigar in hand, Schlaefer has been passionate about the South End since moving there in 2006 and setting up shop, his sprawling Schlaefer Masonry on Orange Road, where he also lives.
