A Beautiful Night in Montclair

David Johansen, a major figure in music for three decades, played a free concert in Montclair last night. The Barista went with a bunch of friends. We all enjoyed the mellow: perfect weather, balding ex-hipsters and little kids dashing merrily about.
But for the real musical analysis, we invited our favorite critic — Montclair’s own Fran Pelzman Liscio — to come along. (Heck, it was free.) Fran, who knew Johansen in her Pelzman days, when she was a player in the punk rock scene, not only showed up and swayed to the music, she took notes. Go read her review.
