wifi_2 Barista has to applaud a coffee shop and restaurant that offers free Wifi to its customers. Panera Bread, which has been offering wireless internet in some locations nationally, has just rolled out the service at its the Essex Green store. Now, if you bring your laptop, you can check Barista while you wait for the late show of “Manchurian Candidate” to start.

  1. I believe some Atlanta Bread Company shops have begun to do the same – not sure if the one in Clifton near the new ACME does so, though.

  2. ABC and Panera are owned by the same corporation, so that would figure.
    Today’s Star Ledger reports that Philadelphia is considering turning the entire city into a hotspot, either free or at a minimal charge. Hello, Glen Ridge? Bloomfield??
    (Pavement Narrows has already run string and paper cups to every house. So we are ahead of the curve.)
