Ours, Too

Time for complete truthiness: the Barista turns 50 today. She received this sonnet from Mista Barista, which she shares with the assembled. Happy Birthday Jesus and me too. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, and Kwanzaa the night away.

  1. Happy Birthday Debbie!
Now you get to forget how old you are…or have to subtract the year you were born from the current one and wonder – am I that old!

  2. Happy birthday Deb! I turned 50 this summer. It ain’t so bad. I’ve been playing ‘Born in the 50’s’ by the Clash on my ipod….

  3. Upon meeting you last week, I’d have guessed at least 13 years younger. Have a grand birthday. And remember that “It’s never too late to have a happy childhood.”

  4. Happy belated birthday, Debbie! Having passed the big 5-Oh a couple of years ago I can attest that it’s just fine. I found 40 much more depressing! By the time you reach 50 you know who you are and are proud of it! Have a wonderful holiday and a great year!
