Foodie Alison Bermack is organizing the second annual soup-in for the Human Needs Food Pantry. Last year Baristaville’s event response was abundant and delicious. Can we do it again?
Members of The Cooking with Friends Club will be getting together to make and freeze soup for their second annual “Souper Bowl” event for the Human Needs Food Pantry in Montclair. The event is scheduled to coincide with the Super Bowl. Last year, members of the Cooking with Friends Club donated an impressive 146 quarts of soup and aim to beat that goal this year!
If you are interested in participating in this very rewarding event, please visit https://groups.yahoo.com/group/CookingWithFriendsClub/ and join the Cooking with Friends Club Yahoo group. For more information, you can e-mail the founder of the group, Alison Bermack at AJBermack@msn.com. The drop off date for the event is scheduled for Thursday, January 31.
The Cooking with Friends Club is an online community connecting people through the common goal of cooking and eating good food. You can use the site to share recipes, trade ideas, and schedule cooking dates and swaps. The file section is chock full of advice, inspiration, ideas and big batch recipes that will help you cook with your friends. They focus on fresh ingredients, interesting spices and healthful meals for the family, for parties, for charity, for the baby or for just about any time bellies are grumbling and taste buds are eager.
And while we’re all thinking soup, tell us what’s cooking in your pot.
