Stay Green And Dry-Clean

Alan and Wendy at Village Laundry in Upper Montclair called today, fairly gushing…”we’re clean and green!” They know being green is sooo 2008. So why not pass on the news? Since January 1, Village Laundry has become environmentally friendly, and according to Alan, “the only organic dry cleaners in the village.” That nasty chemical Perc used in the dry cleaning industry is out – and they’re using only EPA-approved, non-hazardous and bio-degradable products to clean your clothes.

  1. If you go to their website, and click on – “view video as seen on ch. 34”, you’ll see the segment that was produced by Inside Montclair, and get a chance to meet ( see ) Al & Wendy.
Plus, you’ll see Wendy’s Art, displayed on their walls. Two very nice people, go and get everything all nice and clean.
Anyone else looking for a video for their website? Call Inside Montclair at 973 – 668 – 1066, and lets talk about it.

  2. ZOOTS is already there. Plus they pick up and deliver. Still, glad to see the chemicals getting out of our community. Good job!

  3. By 2011 (think that is the year?) ALL dry cleaners have to be clean and green and responsible. Good for Village for changing over early!

  4. Actually, I believe Choppy’s Cleaners on Orange Road in the South End Business Dist. are organic and have been for some time now.

  5. I think there’s also a “green” dry cleaner by the Brookdale Shoprite. It’s been open for maybe a year.

–What Village are they talking about? Did Upper Montclair now become a village?
I must have been out of the room and missed that.
