Glen Ridge Police Announce Man-Hunt

wanted.jpgGlen Ridge PD has released a composite sketch, announcing a hunt for a man who entered a residence on Winsor Place on the afternoon of October 8. The resident was punched in the face by the intruder who entered his home and tried to get away with his wife’s purse. The resident chased after the stranger, and was assaulted while struggling to get the handbag back.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Glen Ridge detective bureau at (973) 748-5400.

Another daytime burglary occurred in Glen Ridge last Friday.

The front door of a Woodland Avenue home was forced open sometime between 9 and 10am, and the place was ransacked. A laptop valued at $2,500 was stolen.
Meanwhile, graffiti vandals have been busy leaving their mark in Glen Ridge. Carteret Park, the hockey rink, and Wachovia Bank on Bloomfield Avenue have been targets of the vandals’ obscenities.
