Still Glowing Bright…

The Turtle Back Zoo is ablaze in lights thanks to Essex’s Holiday Lights Spectacular, nightly through New Year’s Eve.
Regular zoo animals keep company with illuminated figures of bears, tigers and elephants, and holiday lights including wooden soldiers, stars and winter scenes. More than 50 holiday-themed figures light up the winter night. Admission is $3 for children, $5 for adults, to benefit Essex Parks Foundation.
On selected days, enjoy musical entertainment, face painting and other kid-friendly activities. The zoo is open 10am – 4pm; th light display is 5-9pm through Dec. 31.
5 to 9 p.m. each night. For a complete schedule of activities, call Turtle Back Zoo, 973-731-5800.

  1. I took the kids last night and they really enjoyed themselves. I think the event goes to Jan 3rd or 4th. The reptile house is open, the barn is open and there are some animals that are still in the display.
