Scripps 2010 National Spelling B-E-E

This Friday, June 4, around 50 semi-finalists spellers will move on to the finals of the 2010 Scripps National Spelling Bee, which airs live on ABC at 8 pm ET. One kid from about 273 champion spellers, ranging in age from 8 to 15, will be competing this year for the National Spelling Bee Championship. Spellers participating in the national competition qualify by winning locally sponsored spelling bees in their home communities.
The host this year is Chris Harrison from The Bachelorette, and ESPN’s Erin Andrews from the recent Dancing with the Stars runner-up will be the reporter during the Bee.
Last year, Kavya Shivashankar took the prize by spelling Laodicean, which means lukewarm or indifferent in religion or politics. In 2008, the winning word was guerdon and in 2007 it was serrefine.

What do you predict the winning word will be this year?
