Once a Mountie, always a Mountie — or so it seemed yesterday at Eagle Rock Reservation, where hundreds of graduates of Montclair High School gathered for the All Class Reunion picnic. So much homier than many high school reunions, which take place in hotel ballrooms. If you went, tell us who you saw. Or regale us with memories of your days at 100 Chestnut.

  1. ahhh, SJ…you missed the guy with the Hat, and camera, and those cute little dolls on his table 🙁

  2. ps – Although no one there wanted a video of the event, I’ll be posting a few clips on You Tube in a few days…as well as, submitting a show to tv-34…with some luck, they actually may air this very special program…we’ll see.

  3. From what I hear, there were somewhere near 1000 people who attended. Not sure if that is accurate, but it sure looked like it. I ran into a lot of people I haven’t seen in years, but I’m finding out through Facebook there were many more that I missed. All in all I have to tip my hat to the organizers. Even with some earlier bumps, everything was pretty organized. I spoke to some alums who did not attend later yesterday evening, and they all regretted not going… Word had spread around town that the event was the place to be….

  4. I am so sorry I missed it! It looked like a great time! Thanks to SJStreeter for taking, and sharing, the pictures!
Congratulations to the organizers! My friends who did attend said it was really well done!

  5. Another after thought…
Should anyone be interested in getting a video ( I also covered the Meet & Greet party held on Fri. night at Egan’s )please email me at – kingcamelot2@aol.com and I’ll give you the details on how to order a DVD.
It did turn out to be a wonderful day for those that did show up…and maybe for those who didn’t, you might like to see the video.

  6. Sorry Wayne Robbins. I put the ommission blame on my friend Flickr. It’s fixed now. Please view the slide show again. There’s a picture of your booth which includes you in your hat & the dolls.

  8. Hi Blair…I’m sure you’ll really like it.
The best way to do this, which would hold true for anybody else, is to email me with your request ( kingcamelot2@aol.com )and I’ll reply with what you’ll need to do…it’ll be the best way.
    Thanks….

  9. I was there for a bit, and saw that the pic taken of me made it into the slideshow. Saw some friends I hadn’t seen in years. It was a nice time and the weather was decent too, if just a little hot.

  10. I was there! I am a member of the NCCC-NJ (National Cervical Cancer Coalition)and we had a bake sale. All founding members are MHS Alumn! It was hot, and we didnt sell as many baked goods as we would have liked, but it was still a great day! On another note, I was sad to read in today’s paper about the tragic shooting of DeFarra Gaymon, who was in town for the reunion. It sounds like it was a terrible error on the part of the police, and my thougths are with his friends and family. What a tragedy. RIP. To those horrible unsympathetic posters (on NJ.Com) I guess no tragedies have ever touched your family- lucky you.
