Calling all talented teens! Tomorrow offers two ways to show off your talents in Montclair:
Who needs American Idol and Dancing With the Stars when you can strut your stuff at Montclair’s own So You Think You’ve Got Talent: Teen Talent Show? The Montclair Public Library is looking for teens ages 12 and older to show their creative sides through dancing, singing, and poetry. Participants in the show are also eligible for Summer Reading Club prizes. If you think you have what it takes and want to have a great time, head on over to the library on Tuesday, July 6 at 3 pm. Not only will there be great talent, entertainment, and prizes, participation is free!
If your talent involves a paintbrush over to StudioKids. As part of the Teen Summer Art Program, StudioKids Art Classes will hold a Portfolio Review Art Workshop that will inspire artistic teens, as well as help to guide students in creating and building art portfolios.Local artists will be on location to review teen portfolios, and teens will also get the opportunity to learn what high school and college art programs are looking for.

So You Think You Have Talent: Teen Talent Show
Who: Ages 12 and up.
What: Talented teens are invited to showcase their songs, dance and poetry. Participants will be eligible for Summer Reading Club prizes.
Where: Montclair Public Library, 50 South Fullerton Avenue, Montclair, NJ 07042.
When: Tuesday, July 6 at 3 pm.

Teen Art Portfolio Review Workshop
Who: Teen artists.
What: Teens, here’s your chance to get your art portfolio reviewed by a column of local artists who are professors and instructors from schools like F.I.T, Parsons, and Pratt. There will also be a short discussion on how to build your portfolio and what high school and college programs will be looking for. Students who attend will get special discounts on teen art camp sessions.
Where: StudioKids Art, 211Glenridge Avenue, Montclair, NJ.
When: Tuesday, July 6 from 7 pm – 9:30 pm.
