Many of you will recall the horrible story about the animal hoarder on Brighton Road in Clifton. The story, however, has a happy ending as Lisa from Clifton Animal Shelter writes:

About seven of the dogs have gone to a rescue group, Rawhide Rescue, which specializes in working with dogs rescued from hoarding situations and puppy mills. They will be fostered and socialized so that they can be adopted to loving families.
We are starting the process of adopting the dogs that are at the shelter.

To this end, Clifton Animal Shelter is holding a “Sweet Endings” fundraiser on Sunday, August 29. Montclair’s own Morso Catering will be providing some of the “sweets” and the proceeds will go toward the medical care required by dogs who were rescued on Brighton Road.
The event will be held from 5 pm to 8 pm at Senior Barn/Clifton Municipal Complex, located at the intersection of Van Houten and Clifton Avenues, directly across from the shelter. The suggested donation is $10.00.

  1. I hope Joanne Zak pays for what she did to these dogs…I’m sick of people making excuses for hoarders..Someone should make her sit in her feces.
