Miss Cherry Delight & the Big Tent Jazz Band to Play Trumpets

Fans of bands like Cherry Poppin’ Daddies and Squirrel Nut Zippers have a treat in store this coming Sunday (Aug. 22), when a local 1920’s-style jazz act takes the stage at Trumpets in Montclair. Miss Cherry Delight & the Big Tent Jazz Band is the brainchild of Jeff Weinman, a Caldwell historic renovation contractor, who many Baristaville residents will remember as a former Glen Ridge resident and member of the Porch Daddies. Weinman is joined by his daughter Lucy, 18, an accomplished trumpeter who starts at Columbia University this fall, and vocalist Miss Cherry Delight, a 23-year-old belly dancer and burlesque performer from Coney Island.

6 Depot Square, Montclair
