On Tuesday, November 30, the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lights up NYC with 30,000 lights on five miles of wire, and crowned by a Swarovski crystal star.

You can join the tens of thousands who crowd around the sidewalks to see it or watch it  broadcast live, along with performances, on NBC from 7 pm – 9 pm EST.

For me, Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the tree. As a child, my father would take me every year on my birthday, a week before Christmas. Now I take my children to keep the tradition.

We usually are lucky enough to see Santa ice skating.

  1. I prefer to watch it on TV, rather than “fight” the hondas going into the city & the crowds once we arrive there.
