Thanksgiving 2010

Happy Thanksgiving 2010, Baristaville.

Are you cooking a turkey this year (Butterball Turkey hotline is 1-800-Butterball)?. Watching Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? Look for two new giant balloons — Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Kung Fu Panda — and an appearance by Kanye West.

However you spend the holiday, know this — we’re thankful for you. Every tip, photo, email, and all the other ways readers contribute to the site make all of us at Baristanet feel incredibly fortunate. Barista Kids is feeling the same way, too.

Share what you are thankful for in comments, what pie you have to have today, your favorite stuffing recipe (yes, Virginia, people are making White Castle stuffing) and anything else you feel like sharing.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

the prof is not cooking this year and has WAY TOO MUCH time on his hands… I’m used to the rush, the tasting, the figuring and fun of cooking too much food for too many people, but today I’ll leave that up to the good folks at the Highlawn Pavilion.

(I will cook a turkey on Saturday… and may try that rat burger stuffing!!!! Anyone trying it?)

  2. Before leaving for PA to be with family and friends whom I am extremely thankful for I again wish all of the Barista family of bright, witty and very opinionated people a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!

  3. I’m thankful for all of the opportunities afforded me living in the USA. I’m thankful for wonderful friends who have different faiths, political beliefs and different backgrounds. and we all share our thanks by eating too much and watching football.

  4. We all shared in food preparation and it was delicious. We have so much to be thankful for. It’s almost overwhelming when you include things we tend to take for granted like vision, hearing, mobility, reasoning, laughter and the ability to blog and vent on Baristanet.
