SOS Montclair Launches Band Together Campaign

Save Our Schools (SOS) Montclair wants Montclair residents to “Band Together” by buying wristbands and directly contributing to a common fund administered as a public service by the MFEE.  SOS would love to see everyone in town wearing a red wristband showing their support.

Profits raised from the sale of wristbands will be donated by SOS Montclair to the common fund.  The common fund is designated for general instructional supplies to all of the schools in the district, so that funds can be freed to use elsewhere as the BOE deems appropriate–thus working to close the budget gap.

Christine McGoey, one of the founders of SOS says, “The people of Montclair are banding together to do what we can to save our schools. Our Board of Education is working hard. We are asking our state and town officials to stand with us and give our acclaimed Magnet School System its fair share of aid.”

In addition to purchasing a wristband, you can can give directly to the fund by going to MFEE.organd selecting “Band Together” in the program designation drop-down memo for contributions of $20 or more. Checks in any amount payable to MFEE, memo “Band Together,” can be mailed to the MFEE at 22 Valley Road, Montclair NJ 07042.

Save Our School Wristbands are available at many retailers around Montclair, with more added each week.  Wristbands can currently be purchased from these fine retailers who have banned together to save our schools:
