About 67 properties are showing in Baristaville this weekend. Offerings start at $215,000 (349 Boyden Ave., Maplewood); the costliest property is 31 Farbrook Dr., Millburn ($2,850,000, down $135,500 in the last month), a familiar open house offering. The latter property is joined by many others languishing in the midst of a still somewhat uncertain economy, and “the struggle’s not over yet,” notes Keller Williams NJ Metro Group partner Roberta Baldwin. Those in the market for an upscale townhouse will be busy this Sunday; there are at least seven showing. Nothing is open in Glen Ridge.

  1. Wow, that’s quite a place on S.Mountain Terrace! Filling up that wine cellar could be a challenge but I guess emptying it could be a lot of fun!

  2. I just got my tax statement from the town. With a 20% increase in just 3 years, most tax bills around here are pretty hefty.

  3. WOW! Only $ 1,070.00 a day to the township, for taxes, before your morning coffee ! Such a deal…… Line foems the the left, no pushing or shoving.

  4. Hmm. Nice house on S. Mountain Terrace. Hoping the $1.1mm ask is one of those gambits to get multiple bids, otherwise values have dropped more than I would have thought, or it’s a distressed sale. I know lots of people paying over 40k in taxes for considerably less house, by the looks of it.

  5. Oh ya, my math was way off. Used my son’s wacky calculator. I should never do that ! Looks like $109.00 @ day. Still that’s alot of money, unless one is a mega-millionaire. Thanks 4 catching that 🙂

  6. It’s a nice chunk of change to wake up and have to send the town a check for $109 before a morning cup of joe. Better be an espresso with a piece of dark chocolate on the side.
