Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo and you’re all set for food. You can either head over to the Tinga Taqueria near you or make Lisa’s delicious Mexican feast. But what about the party? Here are a few ways to celebrate:
Canciones: Hispanic Music for Cinco de Mayo
Who: Ages 3 and up.
What: Enjoy traditional Hispanic songs for kids from Puerto Rico, Cuba and Mexico as performed on acoustic guitar and the Cuatro, Puerto Rico’s national instrument! This popular series of informal concerts for families will feature extra songs from Mexico in honor of Cinco de Mayo.

Cinco de Mayo Storytime
Who: All ages.
What: Go listen to stories, sample some Mexican food and play fun games for Cinco de Mayo!

Cinco de Mayo Celebration
Who: Middle and high school kids.
What: Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with food, music and fun! Feel free to bring a dish to share.
Where: Summit YMCA, 67 Maple Street, Summit, NJ.

What: Join Essex County CASA at its festive Cinco de Mayo gathering at the Chocolate Path in Montclair. Find out how they help kids in foster care, and how YOU can get involved and help foster kids too, by volunteering.
