Learn To Ride a Bike

This kid did and so can your child!

My daughter learned to ride her two-wheeler last year after taking a great “balance first” class at Bike NY. Bike&Walk Montclair offers Learn to Ride: Kids bicycle classes too and they  use the same “balance” technique. On Saturday mornings throughout the summer, your child can learn to ride all by herself.

The next class is on June 18:

Learn To Ride–Kids
Best for children ages 5 and up.
What: Bike&Walk Montclair offers this class, which teaches a safe, easy, effective way to learn to ride. Using this “balance first” method, facilitators help get children rolling while the child does most of the work. Participants learn the basics of balancing, starting, stopping, and steering a bike, as well as proper helmet fit and adjustment. Most kids learn to ride their bike while taking the class, but even if they don’t, they will leave with an easy, hands-free, crash-free, and low-stress way to learn to ride. Refeshments will be provided.
Where: Montclair High School, 100 Chestnut St, Montclair, NJ 07042 (Faculty Parking lot on North Fullerton Ave)
When: Saturday, June 18 from 10 am – 1 pm.
Cost: $25 (check or cash in person. PayPal can process credit cards online). Please make checks payable to Bike&WalkMontclair (a 501-C3 non-profit organization)
