The young pianists of piano teacher Dr. Thomas Parente have planned a fundraiser for “Platinum Minds” on June 19 at the Montclair Art Museum at 1:30 p.m.
Platinum Minds is a nonprofit organization that offers students in environmentally challenged neighborhoods with low performing schools the opportunity to continue their academic pursuit in a safe environment where academic excellence is the norm. Donations will be accepted at the door.
The concert will feature budding musicians who are in the program. The concert will consist of selections by Bach, Brubeck, Lovelace, Parente, Weber, Debussy, Schumann, Beethoven, Chopin, Respighi, Grieg, Haydn, Barber, and many others. A reception will immediately follow the concert.
What better way to celebrate Father’s Day than an afternoon of wonderful music — performed both for your listening pleasure as well as a great cause!
