Fun at last year's Block Party!

If you’ve ever had he pleasure to attend an Aunt Jean’s Toys & Treats Block Party, you know how much fun they are. Owner Jeanette Lauture knows how to throw a party. She also knows how to give back to her community, as she chooses a cause, charity or group to donate part of the proceeds to each year.

This year, 10% of the proceeds from participants will go to Montclair High School seniors. Jeanette tells us she chose MHS seniors because, “One of the seniors were participating in the Columbian Orphanage fundraiser we had this summer and told me the senior class had no funds to help students who need extra help with funds for senior events.”

There will be amusements, a Dunk tank with Mayor Fried and Council Weller-Demming, facepainting, balloon art, arts and crafts and delicious food from Toast, Salute, and Ah Pizza.

Barista Kids is a proud sponsor and we’re looking forward to bringing our families for the fun. See you there!

  1. Oh thank goodness! I thought it was today, and we spent so much time at Anderson Park and the Sidewalk sale that the kids were too cranky to take them anywhere else. Now we get to go to this tomorrow. Crisis in activity planning averted.

ps: In front of Dai Kichi on Valley they are doing fund-raising for Japan with “balloon fishing.” Big hit with the pre-k crowd.

Whatever you might want to say, or have said, or will continue to say about these two, you have to admit they’re good sports.
