The mesmerizing and pulsating sounds of ancient drums and intriguing vocals will fill the Montclair Public Library Auditorium tonight, Thursday, September 22 when the Glen Velez Ta ka Di Mi Project takes the stage. The Ta ka Di Mi Project features two gifted Montclair residents, five-time Grammy winning percussionist Glen Velez and rhythmic vocalist Lori Cotler. Their performance incorporates original compositions derived from music of the Mid-East, Central Asia and the Mediterranean regions and promises to deliver a unique program of pure rhythm and pulse. This event is presented by Jewish Service for the Developmentally Disabled’s WAE (Wellness Arts, Enrichment) Center, in collaboration with the Montclair Public Library.
