Description:       Officer Faranda was dispatched to Hamilton Rd to take a report of burglary to auto and theft.  Unknown suspect(s) entered the victims’ vehicle removing several items.

Incident:              Burglary/Theft

Description:       Officer Faranda was dispatched to Douglas Rd. to take a report of a burglary and theft.  He reported that unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked back door and entered the residence removing numerous personal belongings valued at $ 2,480.00.  Anyone with information regarding this case can contact Det. Description:       Officer Hackett arrested Paul Brown, 33 of Montclair, N.J. for an outstanding warrant.  He was transported to headquarters for processing and released on bail.

Description:  Officer DeHope was dispatched to Ardsley Rd. to take a report of burglary and theft.  He reported that sometime during the night unknown suspect(s) entered a garage through a window.  It is unknown what is missing at this time.  Anyone with information regarding this case can contact Det. Date/Time:         11/18/2011 @ 11:45 PM

Incident:              Burglary/Theft Arrest

Description:       While on patrol Officer Quinn observed two black males on Hillside Ave.  coming from a driveway.  As he approached them to investigate they both started running, he apprehended one suspect and Lt. Egnezzo, Officer Hackett, and Officer Schwartz responded to assist.  During the search for the second suspect officers located a backpack which contained an electronics device.  It was determined that the suspects had just burglarized a house on Washington St.  John Johnson, 18 of Bloomfield was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing.  Mr. John Johnson was charged with burglary, receiving stolen property, and defiant trespass and is being held on bail.  The case is still under investigation by the detective bureau and anyone with information can contact Det. Postlewait at 973-748-5400 X120.

 

During this week the Glen Ridge Police Department investigated (5) motor vehicle accidents.
