Strong Winds Could Interfere with Travel

High winds of up to 65 mph caused power outages across Connecticut yesterday, with more expected today. Over 10,000 people had no power Tuesday night. The strong winds  also created havoc at NYC airports, with some flights into Newark delayed two or more hours.  No delays are reported yet today.

PSE&G’s power outage map shows up to 500 people with power.  A representative from PSE&G told Baristanet that they aren’t yet sure what is causing the outage, but the National Weather Service shows the area under a hazardous weather advisory, with wind gusts up to 45 mph.

It might be a good day to stay off the road.
