Schools will be closed and most people are off for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 16. If you still have to work on and need childcare, there are local Vacation Day camp options available. Spots fill up quickly, so make plans now:

Little Live Y’ers Winter Break Vacation Camp
Who: Kids ages 3 – 6.
What: A day filled with fun activities: swimming, gym, arts and crafts and more!
Where: The Geyer Family YMCA, 159 Glenridge Avenue, Montclair, NJ, 07042.
When: Monday, January 16. Kids can be dropped off as early as 7:30 a.m. and picked up as late as 6:30 p.m.
Cost: Members – $47 a day / Non-members – $57 a day. In order to reserve a space for your child, payment and a registration form must be completed for each date attending. Please register within 3 business days prior to the program date. Registration received in less than 3 days prior to camp will be charged an additional $10 fee.

“Mad Science” Day at the South Mountain YMCA Vacation Camp
Who: School aged kids.
What: Need childcare because school is closed? South Mountain YMCA offers a fun vacation camp with a visit from Mad Science.
Where: South Mountain YMCA, 13 Jefferson Avenue, Maplewood, NJ.
When: Monday, January 16 offered from 7:15 am – 7 pm.

Caldwell Community Center’s Mini Camp
Who: Kids ages 5 – 12.
What: Swimming, arts & crafts, sports and more!
Where: Caldwell Community Center, One Provost Square, Caldwell, NJ
When: Monday, January 16 from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm.

Aunt Jean’s Mini Camp Celebrates MLK’s Birthday
Who: Ages 6 – 10.
What: Listen to live footage of Dr. king’s speech, create your own speech, poetry cafe, cupcake decorating, games, visits “Petit Paris” and “Ah Pizz” with much more!
Where: Aunt Jean’s Toys & Treats, 12 North Willow Street, Montclair, NJ, 07042
When: Monday, January 16 from 9 am – 4 pm.

Vacation Station at JCC Metrowest: MLK Day @ the J
Who: Kids in grades k – 5.
What: Spend the day with us at the J celebrating MLK day. As we come together to do a social interaction project. Don’t forget about swim, fun in the gym, and hanging out in the Teen Lounge. You’re to have a great time and learn somethign new on this day at the J. Children must bring kosher-dairy, nut-free lunch each day.
Where: JCC Metrowest, Cooperman JCC, 760 Northfield Avenue, West Orange, NJ.
When:Monday, January 16. 9 am-4 pm (am/pm care provided from 7:30am-6pm)

SDA Montclair: MLK Day Camp

What: A fun day of soccer.
