I was just browsing through the Adult School of Montclair’s Spring 2012 catalog and found some great courses and workshops for parents:

Helping Your High Schooler Stay Organized
This class says it will help you to, “Arm your child with the basic skills that will help him or her stay organized during the school year.”
Monday, February 27 from 7 pm – 9 pm

How to Introduce New Foods to Your Kids
This course says it will help to, “Take the struggles out of mealtime with easy tips from a pro. Acquire practical, research-based strategies for successfully introducing new foods. Develop an action plan for your family.”
Monday, March 26 from 7 pm – 9 pm

If you loved Alison Bermack’s great Flavor Excursions piece on Empanadas, you can get a hands on lesson form Alison at her Empanadas class:

Empanadas: The Perfect Pocket Food
Alison will teach you how to make a variety of creative fillings to stuff inside flaky pastry to enjoy for lunches, dinners and even appetizers.
Monday, April 9 from 7 pm – 9:30 pm

I'm struck by how much attention is being paid to the details of a parking lot, as opposed to the attention paid to the future impact of the monstrous projects being planned.
