Lots of Montclair businesses either making moves (or trying to…). Visit Piazza Della Sole, originally located next door to the wonderful Watchung booksellers, at its new location on Valley Road in Upper Montclair, next to Fancy That. We heard rumblings that Piazza’s leaving might open up the chance for a bookstore expansion, but owner Margot Sage-El put the rumors to rest, telling Baristanet that although it would have been great, they couldn’t come to an agreement with the landlord. That leaves the space in play for now, but the now-closed Watchung Plaza Home on the corner of Watchung Ave. and North Fullerton, will be filled we hear by Dot Reeder, who will move into the corner spot in the next few weeks.

  2. Baristas: I support jerseygurl in her efforts to get pregnant as much as the next guy… er, you know what I mean… but will we have to read her quote in Featured Comment the entire 40 days?

  3. Jerseygurl, don’t do it. I gave up contraception and now I need Xanax. Turns out hormones really are good for the soul, and my sanity too.

  4. ‘roo, don’t be envious. you’ll have your shot again too. i think i can use some xanax. paying attention to the republican candidates is making me anxious. it would be funny, if it weren’t terrifying. and then there’s virginia. let’s keep government off our backs – by letting them invade our vaginas.

  5. JG, Don’t be nervous. There is plenty of time before the Republican horde sweeps into power. Meanwhile, The current administration has it’s sights on similarly violating me, and has made it’s unamorous intentions clear in that regard. At least I can expect a heartfelt and well practiced apology!

  6. Deadeye, if you have your way, I truly hope they will continue to meddle in people’s private lives and perhaps pass legislation that requires having an anal sonogram prior to a vasectomy or maybe even a colonoscopy prior to having hair implants. Especially if it’s done in the belief that it’s god’s will that is being followed.

  7. If religion is the “opium of the people”, it’s beginning to look like someone’s been blending the stuff with other toxic fillers and selling it at the debates.

When the death of a human being is at stake, you’d be absolutely correct.

  9. Never considered having hair implanted in my colon. Some strange ideas flying around here today. The country wants a centrist. I don’t understand the pandering to the lunatic fringe on either side, and the ones on the left are just as looney and more ready to intrude on people’s freedoms as the the ultra conservatives whom they outnumber.

  10. However, since the use of viagra may well lead to a human being I do think that a physical exam ensuring the good health of the prostate of the man seeking a prescription is only prudent.
