Easter Bunny Photo Ops, Egg Hunts and Fun

The Easter Bunny is making his rounds in Baristaville before he gets busy filling baskets on Easter Sunday, April 8. You can catch him at several events starting this weekend: a brunch, a train ride, and various egg hunts. He is one busy bunny.

Fourth Annual Montclair Center Spring Treasure Hunt
Little kids.
What: Fourth annual spring treasure hunt. Bring baskets to store your eggs. Meet “Pat the Bunny”, making a special appearance will be Field Station: Dinosaurs’ highly interactive 15-foot Tyrannosaurus Rex!, Arts & Crafts by Studio Arts Kids, & The Geyer Family YMCA, Face Painter by Liberty Tax Service, Music by Sticky Jams and a Montclair Fire Truck for Kids to explore — if there’s not emergency! Barista Kids is a co-sponsor of this fun, family event!

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

What: Breakfast with the Easter Bunny.

Meet The Easter Bunny & Breakfast
Little Kids.
What: Hippity hop on in and meet the Easter Bunny! Enjoy Bagels, Jellies, Apple Juice and Coffee. Photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny and more. All children receive an Easter basket filled with goodies. An Egg Hunt will take place on the April 8th event date.

Junior Woman’s Club of Verona’s Bunny Brunch
All ages.
What: A variety of snacks and refreshments and a take-away goodie bag for each child will be available. Children will enjoy a range of crafts and pay to play games with prizes. The Easter Bunny will be available for photo opportunities. Please bring your camera! The Easter Bunny will have a sweet treat for each visitor, as well

Easter Chocolate Making Workshop

Photos With the Easter Bunny
Who: Kids 12 and under.
What: Meet the Easter Bunny, take a photo with him and receive a gift at the mall.

Maplewood Annual Spring Egg Hunt
Who: Kids ages 8 and under.
What: Annual Egg Hunt! Bring your own basket for collecting eggs and enter the Jelly Bean Contest. Cookies and drinks will be served.
Where: Maplewood Memorial Park, Valley Street, between Oakland Road and Baker Street, Maplewood, NJ.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

Easter Bunny Express
Who: All ages.
What: Celebrate the return of Spring with a fun themed train ride through northern New Jersey! The Easter Bunny and helpers will be on board greeting everyone during the 45-minute round-trip ride along the Morristown & Erie Railway’s historic Whippanong Trail. Your train ride departs from and returns to the Whippany Railway Museum site in Morris County, NJ. You’ll enjoy the comfort of heated passenger coaches as the Easter Bunny makes his way through to visit with you and your child.

Millburn Egg Hunt
Who: Kids in preschool through 2nd grade.
What: The fun Easter egg hunt event features prizes to children who find the “special” eggs in their age category. Pre-schoolers will hunt on the tennis courts, kindergarten children on the open lawn north of the tennis courts off Whittingham Terrace and first and second graders will be looking for eggs on the softball field at the corner of Whittingham Terrace and Ridgewood Road. Children should bring their own basket/container to hold the eggs they collect.

Brunch With the Easter Bunny
Who: Kids ages 2 – 9.
What: Children will enjoy arts & crafts, brunch and treats. Each child gets a framed picture taken with the Easter Bunny as a souvenir.

Mr. Bunny‘s Springtime Fun at The Edgemont Park Shelter House
Children, up to age 7, who want to meet the big bunny who brings them baskets.
What: Get your picture taken with Mr. Bunny, go on an egg hunt, do arts & crafts and more!

Max and Ruby: Bunny Party
Ages 4 – 10.
What: There’s a surprise party for someone special, and bunny siblings Max and Ruby embark on a musical bus ride to buy a gift or their Super Duper Special Birthday Guest. Max and Ruby never, ever, want the same thing and their plans always collide — with hilarious results! This delightful comedy is based on the clever and colorful books by Rosemary Wells.

What: Bunnies dressed in colorful garb help children interact in games and play activities, which include Bunnyland Tunnel, Bunny Hay Maze and a 10-15 minute Bunny Hay Ride (weather permitting). Free Bunny face painting and children’s games. You will also receive a Wightmans goodie bag which includes a homemade donut to enjoy or take home.

Redeemer Montclair Church’s Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Egg Hunt and BBQ
Egg hunt is divided by age groups — K and under and 1st to 5th grade
Annual celebration in the assembly hall with Crafts and dress up activities. The Easter Bunny will join everyone for  songs and photos and then the great egg hunt will take place on the church lawn. BBQ lunch will follow.

Easter Egg Hunt and Cookies Decorating
Little kids.
What: This interactive and fun hunt will start as kids are taken on a guided hunt around the stores for eggs. Once they’ve collected their whole batch, they’ll use the egg contents to decorate a fun Easter cookie!

NYC Easter Parade and Easter Bonnet Festival
All ages.
What: The best of Easter bonnets are showcased along Fifth Avenue to celebrate Easter in this annual parade.
Where: The parade marches north on Fifth Avenue, starting at 49th Street, but the best place to watch is from the area around St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
When: Sunday, April 8 from 10 am – 4 pm.
Cost: Free.

I'm struck by how much attention is being paid to the details of a parking lot, as opposed to the attention paid to the future impact of the monstrous projects being planned.
