See Bloomfield High School’s Award-Winning Indoor Percussion Ensemble Tonight

The Bloomfield High School Indoor Percussion Ensemble took home a Second Place trophy in their division at their first competition on Saturday, March 17 at the USBands invitational at Fair Lawn High School.

Bloomfield High School’s new percussion musical group, under the direction of George Agens and Kristin Leone, has been practicing for a round of competitions that will take place in the next few weeks. Their repertoire, entitled “A Nightmare to Remember” features music from the movie “Inception” along with pieces from the American progressive metal band Dream Theater.

Tonight the Bloomfield District will present its annual Townwide Instrumental Concert in the BHS auditorium at 7 pm. This concert features instrumentalists from the district’s elementary, middle school and high school bands and orchestras. BHS Orchestra Director Emil Richard Waldmann will conduct the finale. Tickets are $10, and a limited number will be available at the door.
