By now you have most likely seen this Mitt Romney-meets-Eminem video mash up (after the jump), but we wanted to share it just in case you hadn’t. Titled “Will the Real Mitt Romney Please Stand Up?” it plays off Romney’s reputation among voters and the media as an confoundingly enigmatic flip-flopper. (Warning: don’t watch this with the kids around; some of the content is for mature audiences only.)
That reputation wasn’t helped yesterday when the candidate’s senior adviser, Eric Fehrnstrom, put his foot in his mouth during an interview with CNN after Romney’s decisive win in the Illinois primary. When he was asked if Romney’s recent rightward tilt would hurt him with moderate voters, Fehrnstrom had this to say, according to an NJ.com article:
Well, I think you hit a reset button for the fall campaign. Everything changes. It’s almost like an Etch a Sketch. You can kind of shake it up and restart all over again.
Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich both carried Etch-a-Sketches with them on the campaign trail yesterday.
