There is plenty available for the veteran gardener and the “weekend warrior” – and everyone in between. For starters, there will be unique and unusual shrubs, vines, perennials, and trees. For Mother’s Day gifts, there are potted planters, plants and garden accessories. Many of the plants for sale are closely associated with the gardens, including plants favored by the late Howard Van Vleck.
Experts will be available to answer questions and help visitors navigate the sale, which is free and open to the public.
Friends of Van Vleck get access to Early Bird shopping on May 5th from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. If you’re not a friend yet, you can become one here.
Tickets are also available to the plant sale preview party on Friday, May 4th from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Buy tickets online here.
Also this weekend is the Montclair Historical Society 34th Annual Herb and Plant Sale at the Israel Crane House. The event runs on Thursday May 3rd, 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (evening hours), Friday, May 4th, 9:00 am – 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, May 5th (Family Day), 9:00 a.m. – 3 p.m.
