Second Annual Puppy Mill Awareness Free Concert Set for September 8 in Brookdale Park

The Second Annual Puppy Mill Awareness Free Concert will take place Saturday, September 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Brookdale Park, Montclair. The concert will take place rain or shine and humans are encouraged to bring their furry friends (leashed, of course).

The event will feature TV personality Annemarie Lucas (pictured) from Animal Planet’s Animal Precinct, and Bill Smith from Main Line Animal Rescue (Billwas the initiator of the puppy mill show on Oprah, which brought so much national attention to the horrific conditions in commercial breeding facilities).

Dogs may be entered in an Owner & Dog Lookalike Contest at 1:30 p.m.

There will also be dog adoptions, featuring rescue groups of all breeds; informative exhibits; vendors with all sorts of doggy goodies; knowledgeable speakers; and food. Some vendor spaces are still available.

  1. This is an awesome event! Great music, very upbeat! I already have two dogs but went to check it out and there are lots of booths there for dog owners, too!
