Fundraiser in Caldwell for Pediatric Transplants

My Daughter’s Closet in Caldwell will be holding a fundraising event tomorrow, Sept. 15.

From 11-2 at the store’s Brookside Ave. location, 9-year-old Sam Prince and his cousin will be selling lemonade for children to help out kids with heart problems. Sam is a FABULOUS kid who received a heart transplant last year, and now he and his cousin Alec would like to help out other kids. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the lemonade sale will go to the Sam’s charity at the pediatric transplant unit at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York.

Enjoy a glass of lemonade as well as Sam’s great spirit and sense of humor!

Stopped by on opening day to take out a dozen empanadas. Very welcoming space, especially with the storefront glass open on a warm spring day and sidewalk tables available; and, the staff were warm and engaged. The empanadas are soft and pastry-like, rather than the harder crisper type. They got a thumbs up from the Morales family, who loves them a good empanada!
