Today our children are back in school, and if you’re like me, you felt uneasy dropping them off. As parents we’re feeling vulnerable and insecure after the shootings in Newtown, Connecticut. Now imagine how a little child might feel if they see the news or hear about the shootings from their friends.

Montclair’s Roscoe Orman, aka  Gordon from Sesame Street, along with Elmo, offer some advice on reassuring your children during stressful events.

Stopped by on opening day to take out a dozen empanadas. Very welcoming space, especially with the storefront glass open on a warm spring day and sidewalk tables available; and, the staff were warm and engaged. The empanadas are soft and pastry-like, rather than the harder crisper type. They got a thumbs up from the Morales family, who loves them a good empanada!
