Just in time for the kick off to holiday baking season, Olive That and More, the specialty shop that opened in Montclair at the end of the summer, will be holding a holiday treats and sweets demonstration and tasting tonight.
We tend to think of olive oil for salads, dipping bread, and cooking savory foods, but the folks at Olive That and More will be demonstrating how olive oil can be used in baking. Owner Jennifer O’Sullivan tells Baristanet, “We will be highlighting recipes from Mikki Sannar’s book Olive Oil Desserts (also for sale at Olive That & More—which is no coincidence!) The idea is to “Bake a Better Holiday” with more healthful recipes incorporating olive oil, between John Lee and I, we will be highlighting a Ginger Bread Cake, Shortbread Cookies, and Simple Brownies!”
