We’ve told you how much we love Montclair author and Television writer Jorge Aguirre’s graphic novel Giants Beware! several times. The book is hilarious and smart, stars a strong girl role model, and has awesome illustrations—thanks to Jorge’s partner Rafael Rosado. And on top of all that, Jorge Aguirre is a great guy and friend. You can find out for yourself by taking the kids after school to see him share Giants Beware! at the Montclair Public Library on Thursday, January 31.
We’re not the only ones who love Giants’ Beware!. New York Times called it a “rollicking fun adventure.” It received a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly and was named one of the Top 10 graphic novels of 2012 by the California Library Association.
Meet Giants Beware author Jorge Aguirre
Who: Ages 7 and up.
What: Jorge Aguirre, author of the critically acclaimed graphic novel Giants Beware, visits Montclair Public Library for a kids’ book-talk! Mr. Aguirre will discuss his process for writing ‘Giants’ and participate in a Q&A followed by a book signing. Books will be available for purchase courtesy of Watchung Booksellers.

Cost: Free. Registration required. The first 10 children to register and attend get a complimentary book for signing courtesy of Montclair Public Library. Child must attend program to receive book; 1 book per family.
