And we always love The Gas Lamp Players, the non-profit theater group for high school kids. They do many great things for the community–from donating their revenue to the schools to entertaining us with their great pre-professional productions.
The Wizard of Oz is guaranteed to be a special show, explains GLP board member Jessica Sporn. “This is one of the most talented group of kids ever,” she says. Expect to see terrific dancers and singers–and director Kristy Graves has found special moments for all of them as the dancing snowflakes and poppies, monkeys, and of course in the Merry Old Land of Oz and Munchkinland.
The cast has been practicing four nights a week since December, and there are more than 80 cast members. Sporn urges you not to miss the Wizard of Oz this weekend.
