The Quintet and guitarist Rob Heinick will play the music of Wes Montgomery, Jobim and other jazz classics upstairs in the lounge. Tomorrow night, attend Glenfield Middle School’s gala performance and screening of the 1995 “Ceremony” documentary titled “Then and Now: A Ceremony for This Time,” which showcases some 150 students and Glenfield teachers, and telling the story of the creation of the piece, which involves student actors, dancers, singers and musicians. In addition, there will be a special pre-show, adults-only reception/fundraiser and an after-show “Mix and Mingle” for everyone.“Then and Now: A Ceremony for This Time,” is both a performance piece that premieres this Friday at a gala performance at Glenfield, and the subject of a new documentary film, showcasing some 150 students and Glenfield teachers, and telling the story of the creation of the piece, which involves student actors, dancers, singers and musicians.

Presented by 4th Wall Theatre, Broadway Barely Legal: Are You Even Old Enough To Sing That? on Friday ngiht, features “coming of age” songs from Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals of the last two decades. The one-night-only performance in Bloomfield has become a highly anticipated part of 4th Wall’s season each year, and it will again feature members of the 4th Wall family of performers from the past and present. Song selections from: Avenue Q, The Book of Mormon, Footloose, Big, Spring Awakening, In the Heights, The Wedding Singer, The Rocky Horror Show, and many more! The evening will include a pre-show cocktail hour (complimentary champagne), the fantastic concert, auction and Tricky Tray drawings at intermission, and a post-show dessert/wine reception. All proceeds will go toward future productions.

The play tells the story of the Magrath sisters, who have their share of problems. “Meg has a reputation for loose living, no one’s remembered Lenny’s 30th birthday, and Babe is awaiting trial for shooting her husband. These unique sisters reunite to await news of the family patriarch, their grandfather, who is living out his last hours in the local hospital. See gorgeous kitchens, while sampling delicious food at “A Taste of Glen Ridge Gourmet Kitchen Tour,” to benefit Glen Ridge schools on Sunday. The tour will include nine magnificent kitchens, with food sampling opportunities at each, as well as design and renovation professionals, an all day hospitality center and free shuttle service. There’s also a closing cocktail reception from 4–6 pm with a grand raffle at the Sidecar – Fitzgerald’s 1928.
