Parent Engagement Network (PEN)A helpful and supportive discussion group is forming for parents of Montclair High School parents called PEN, which stands for Parent Engagement Network:

Dear Montclair Parent Community,

You are cordially invited to come to a MHS Parent Engagement Network (PEN,) a new, somewhat regular monthly gathering for parents and caregivers of Montclair High School students.

PEN is an informal discussion group where parents can share experiences and be resources and support for each other.

Join us on Tuesday, April 30 at 7 pm Montclair Public Library (50 So. Fullerton Avenue.)  We will gather in the library auditorium and coffee and tea will be provided.

This month’s theme is “If I had known then what I know now…”

Feel free to come with one thing that you know now that you did not know then to share with the group.  Or, send a note to the mhs.pen email address and we will compile a list.  (Let us know if you would like to remain anonymous.)

Any questions?  Contact us at this email. Thanks and hope to see you and a friend at PEN!

Stopped by on opening day to take out a dozen empanadas. Very welcoming space, especially with the storefront glass open on a warm spring day and sidewalk tables available; and, the staff were warm and engaged. The empanadas are soft and pastry-like, rather than the harder crisper type. They got a thumbs up from the Morales family, who loves them a good empanada!
